Gran Prix of Trentino: ride to WIN!

May 16, 2016

It was a perfect day at Arco Di Trento. The “Inno di Mameli” resonated among the beautiful mountains sourronding the  Ciclamino Circuit. Super Tony won and all  our riders  gave their best in front of the huge and warm public of the MXGP Of Trentino.

REDBULL KTM FACTORY RACING TEAM
ANTONIO CAIROLI
One of the most awaited weekend for Tony Cairoli, full of expectation and filled with emotion: riding an home GP is always demanding.
Two great races, during which Tony erased any doubt concerning his aim:  no hesitation, ride to win!
His rivals in MXGP class were unable to stop the explosive energy of Cairoli: today its gasoline have been the crowd, the fans who came from all over Italy to support him, encourage and celebrate his talent. Once again, thanks to him, the national Mameli’s anthem payed again from the top of the podium.
Tony for his home GP chose to run with the white version of AXO gear Mamba.

GLENN COLDENHOFF
A group fall in Race#1 forced him to stop and restart almost from the last position. Despite the pain, Glenn gained a 16° position, fighting with several opponents and taking managing many overtakens. Same result for Race#2, even if with different dynamics.

KTM RACING JUNIOR TEAM DE CARLI
GIANLUCA FACCHETTI
"Facchettino" is back! Two very good races, ran with speed and determination by the young rider of Team KTM Junior De Carli. Gianluca closes in third place both heat and  finished  sd on the second step of the podium. Only regret of this day, the two crashes that cost him the victory.

TEAM RACING JTECH
MX2

A race to forget for Henry Jacobi, forced to run with two fingers of his left hand splinted, for a severe contusion reported last week in Teutschenthal. The German rider did not  finish the first moto and  cross the finish line in twenty-first position in second moto.

A good weekend for the EMX 250 defending champion, on a very demanding track Nick Kouwemberg  wins a sixth and fourth (respectively in Race 1 and Race 2) which earned the fourth day position.
NICHOLAS ADAMS
The South African, after a stunning comeback, won the twelfth place in Race 1, in Race 2, he crossed the finish  line in fifteen posistion.
FILIPPO ZONTA
It’s not a lucky period for the Italian rider, in fact a crash in qualifying on Saturday did not allow the access to the  races.

TEAM HUSQVARNA SOLARYS RACING
