Antonio Cairoli won the thirteenth round of the MXGP World Championship in Hyvinkaa, Finland, with a superb double victory. Started first in both moto, Tony has set the pace to the rivals. In Race 1, the AXO rider controlled the moto apparently with no difficulties, crossing the finish-line with seven seconds on Van Horebeek (Yamaha). Same story in Race two: the 7th time World Champion pushed hard from the beginning, leaving the others riders fighting between each other behind him and gaining another win.

Tony Cairoli: “This was one of the toughest races of the year, on a very technical and difficult track, I'm glad to be able to start at the top because it's always a great advantage; we worked hard to achieve this result because this year the starts are becoming more and more important and I’m very satisfied with the work done. So far I've never really thought about the championship, the season is very long, even if it is now coming to the end, I tried to stay away from injuries and to be regular; I feel sorry for anyone who was injured and lost races, it's never nice, maybe I was not the fastest rider in all conditions, but it is very important to finish all the moto and always score points.”

Difficult week end for Ken De Dycker, who had to race sick and was able to score 19 points.

Great performance from Josè Butron in MX2: unfortunately he has been  penalized for passing on a waving yellow flag which dropped him back to 13th after a deduction of ten positions.
