SBK IMOLA AND MXGP SPAIN: CHANGE IS THE LAW OF LIFE

The eight time MX World Champion Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli just choose the hot track of Talavera de la Reina in Spain to make a big improvement this weekend in his riding strategy opening the line up with a 450 KTM, instead of his usual 350.

 

Following his good feelings Tony killed this GP taking big control of the race from start to finish. Just as the sun was shining high in Talavera on his red dyemax red animalier suit, Cairoli gained his first overall win of the season. Maximilian Nagl reached a very good second position while Romain Febvre arrived third. Difficult race for Ken de Dycker on the 21st position, meanwhile Tommy Searle was 17th after a crash in moto2 and Rui Goncalves 18th.

 

Moving to Italy for the 5th Round of the SBK World Championship, one of our rider, Niccolo’ Canepa, after changing his colors for the Grillini’s Kawasaki Team, wasn’t able to join the race after the qualifying day because of a viral disease. Sylvain Guintoli on the other hand retired for a crash on the second race after gaining a good fifth in race one. Michel Fabrizio, replacing Nico Terol arrived 9th overall. Jonathan Rea has been announced winner of this round, Tom Sykes second and Jordi Torres third.
