AXO COLOURS LIGHT UP THE DARK SAND OF VALKENSWAARD

March 29, 2016

An unusual early spring day, on which the sun, cold wind and heavy rain followed one another in an unpredictable alternation, on the Dutch track. The circuit is already famous for being one of the most challenging in the MX world panorama, and the weather conditions transformed it into a “sand trap” that has made alternate fates for AXO riders.

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING
Antonio Cairoli
Today MXGP Championship met again the undisputed star of last years. Tony, although he has not yet fully recovered from his injury, made a rousing race.
The lightning start, the holeshot with a wide margin on all his competitors, the whips offered to the whole public, have been the ingredients of a day almost perfect, where Antonio missed only the victory.
The setting for the performance of the eight-time World Champion, in his "dance on the sand",  was the new gear Mamba and TC222, worn during the weekend in both the versions white/blue and white/orange .
"The King is back"

Glenn Coldenhoff
Home GP, and it shows. The Dutch seemed more motivated, faster and more secure compared to what we have seen in Qatar and Thailand.
In this special occasion, racing in front of his public, Glenn has chosen the gear TC222 white/blue version.

JTECH
Still a difficult test for Honda JTech riders.
In MX2 Damon Graulus and Henry Jacobi suffered the prohibitive conditions of both track and wether, being unable to give their best.
In the European EMX250 Nick Kouwenberg, defending champion, finished 7th in the overall classification. Maybe he payed the penalty for missing perfect starts.
Filippo Zonta, after the recent fibula fracture, decided to race but the pain didn’t allow him to qualify.
Qualifying failure even for Nicholas Adams.
We wait them in shape for the next race.

SOLARYS RACING HUQVARNA
Lights and shadows on the weekend of Thomas Marini. In race 1 he gained a  good 10 position but he has been forced to retire in race 2, due to a fall.
