October 1, 2018

The last round of the 2018 MXGP season took place today on the brand new track built inside the "Enzo e Dino Ferrari" road racing circuit. The twentieth race of the season was the Italian Grand Prix and on the Team's home soil the two riders, Petar Petrov and Todd Waters wanted to give something special to their crew. Unfortunately the physical conditions of Petar, after the bad crash he suffered in Assen two weeks ago didn't allowed him to be competitive and to find the right rhythm on the hard pack. For Todd it was one of the best race of the year so far, with solid points scored in both moto. Overall it was a tough season for the Italian team who lost Arminas Jasikonis at middle season and had a lot of bad luck with Petar Petrov that injured few times himself but the victory of the EMX250 class with Mathys Boisrame pays back all the efforts made by the Red Moto Assomotor peoples.

#42 TODD WATERS (17-17)
I’m disappointed it’s the last race of the season because I didn’t do the full championship and I’ve only done two rounds with this Redmoto team. I feel as though I’m just starting to get comfortable on the bike and set it up how I want so it’s a shame that it has to end now. This weekend I showed a bit of fight and I think it’s probably the best I’ve ridden all MXGP season so although it’s not the result that I wanted, at least I can walk away knowing that I fought this GP and tried my best.

#152 PETAR PETROV (21-20)
Well I struggled all weekend since my crash in Assen two weeks ago. I didn't practice much and this weekend I just couldn't find my flow but I am glad we finish the season all healthy and now will rest recharge the battery's and come back stronger next season. This season didn't go like I wanted, I struggled a lot with injuries and all but I learn a lot and I will take it for the future.
