Double win for AXO in Sicily, thanks to Antonio Cairoli and the young guns competig in the 125cc class. Cairoli has dominated the second round of the International of Italy, held on the famous track of Noto, Sicily, home region of the World Champion. In the Elite class Tony is already the Champion, having won both of the first two rounds, which gives him the title even if we will not be able to gain points at Montevarchi next week.

The AXO rider wanted to give his fans a great show and that’s what he actually did: he has been the fastest from the very beginning, posting the fastest lap time in the qualifying session, winning the MX1 class and then also the Elite.

Antonio Cairoli: “I must admit it is a pleasure and a honor to ride here in my Sicily in front of many fans, friends and relatives. I had to keep focused as the track was hard packed, which is not one of my favorite grounds, but everything went well. In this period we are still focusing on the setting of the bike for the start of the World Championship, but we are on the right way and near to what we are aiming for. Next week we will be riding in Montevarchi, where I hope to clinch the title as I have been doing in the last two years”.

Great day for AXO also in the 125 class, where young guns Jaokin Furbetta and Thomas Marini, both on the KTM SX 125, have stepped on the first and the second step of the podium respectively. The 16 years old from Rome took 2-1, which secured him the overall win, while the KTM Silver Action’s Team newcomer posted 1-6 to finish runner up.

Good job guys!!
