2009 - a successful season!

The racing season is over, the trophies are already on the dedicated shelves and everybody is already working hard to get ready to the incoming season…but we would like to stop for a while and think about the great results clinched by AXO in 2009, which turned out to be a very successful season…

Ladies and Gentlemen, here our palmares…read and enjoy!

The AXO staff wishes to thank the riders…guys, we owe it all to you!

Julian Simon: 125cc Road Racing World Champion…aboard his powerful Aprilia of the Aspar Martinez Team, “Julito” has put under his belt 7 victories, 4 runner up spots and 1 third place in his best season of his career so far!

Bradley Smith: Second spot overall in the 125cc Road Racing World Championship…the Oxford teen-ager, Simon’s team-mate, has clinched not less than 2 GP wins, 4 second spots and 3 third spots: young guy, big dream!

Michel Fabrizio: Third placed overall in the Superbike World Championship, of which AXO is a proud sponsor. On the Ducati factory bike, the reckless Italian has sealed 3 race wins, 6 runner up spots and 6 third places! As you may have read on his beautiful AXO leather suit: “The eighth King of Rome”…

Gautier Paulin: Third spot in the MX2 Motocross World Championship: the young and stylish Frenchman has displayed great shows aboard his Kawasaki of the Bud Racing Team …

Ivan Lazzarini: Third spot in the S1 Supermoto World Championship and long awaited winner of the prestigious X-Games, held in Los Angeles, California!

Gerald Delepine: Second spot in the S2 Supermoto World Championship…a highly experienced rider, who has always something to say…

Marc Coma: winner of the first edition of the South American Dakar, of the Rally of Abu Dhabi, of the Rally of Morocco and third placed in the Cross Country Rally World Championship!

Last but not least, we would like to remind you the second spot of the Team Belgium and the third spot of the Team France in the Motocross of Nations, where AXO riders Steve Ramon and Gautier Paulin have helped their mates to conquer the final great results and also who, in the end, got very close to a top-three spot: Davide Guarneri put in his best result ever by clinching the fourth spot of the MX2 Motocross World Championship and “Keeno” the giant, alias Ken De Dycker, who secured fifth place overall in the MX1 Motocross World Championship.

AXO…what else? See you next year!!!!
