The biggest event on the motocross calendar, the Motocross of Nations, was held at Thunder Valley in Denver (Colorado) and was attended by 32,000 spectators: it was a big success, as usual, with teams USA, Belgium and Germany filling the podium and with Italy finishing fifth.
AXO riders Steve Ramon and Alex Lupino have flown the flag of Team Belgium and Team Italy respectively and they both helped their Nations to conquer the second step of the podium for Ramon and the fifth place overall for Lupino.
This 64th Motocross of Nations was and incredible ninth out of nine appearances for Ramon, who always stepped on the podium!
Steve Ramon: "I'm happy to be up here with the team but also a bit disappointed with my riding today. There was a chance of being able to win but I was not at the same level as I have been in the last two weeks. It was tough out there and I was fighting the track a little bit. I would like to thank the team because we did a good job anyway. I think this was my ninth Nations and I have always been on the podium."
At Imola, in the penultimate round of the Superbike World Championship, Max Neukirchner had quite a positive day, taking the chequered flag in 14th on Race 1 and in 12th in Race 2. Max also gifted one of his AXO leather suit for charity purpose, together with Davide Guarneri, special guest at Imola and 2010 “Miss Muretto”, the beautiful Bruna Ndiaye (read it “njai”).
Enjoy the picture of this moment and of the super hot AXO grid girls!!
…Icy on the cake: congratulations to Ivan Lazzarini, who conquered the Supermoto Italian title for the umpteenth time!!
